Persuasive Argument

Good evening ladies and gentleman , i would like to bring upon the brutal case of Mr. Hyde. Before i start i would like to bring in the maid that had seen the murder of Sr. Danvers Crew live. "miss , what exactly did you see outside that night?" "...(worried) uhmm.. welll... i saw a very strong man , kill Crew with his cane... and all i was doing that night was quietly minding my own buisness, and staring out the window and i happened to see this incident." "okay, thank you that is all." As everyone can see, we have a witness that pleads that Mr. Hyde is guilty. Please consider the fact that he had performed a similiar task , he had trampled a young girl at 2 am. "please come in young one." "hello, *sniff sniff* i was walking to my mummy and this big man steps on top of me, i cried so much, i hate that man!" What type of ordinary man goes around in canes, and in the middle of night killing and trampling people? Mr. Hyde is guilty, and we all know that. Not one person has yet been on Hyde's side, not saying that he should be prosecuted. Mr. Hyde do you have anything to say? "arrrrghhh nooo" "Case closed, Mr. Hyde is now stamped guilty" said the judge.

characters/theme

The character that is most appealing to me is Mr. Hyde because he is a very mysterious character that flaunts himself in a negative manner, it makes me want to read more. He is a very vicious character that makes the story what it really is, i mean trampling over a little girl at 2 am. I want to know what he is going to do next and what side of evil he is going to portray. The theme that Stevenson is trying to show here is that good always wins in evil. Hyde had to pay the family in order for his repuation to be saved. Being good will take you high to many extents, while being the opposite entirely trashes you and ruins your life. Mr. Hyde has dissapeared at this point in the story.

The Story of the Door Reaction

After reading "the story of the door" many unforgetable things occured. The most memorable part was when Mr. Hyde trampled over the little 8 year old girl. What type of human being does that?! He had the audicity to just walk all over a little girl, like he is not going to get into trouble. I also wonder why a little girl is walking around at such a late hour of 2 am. I dont understand how anyone would have the heart to step on a young child. Mr. Utterson explains this past occurence and the door while taking a stroll, reminded him of this. This goes along with the theme about "good and evil" the part where Mr. Utterson has pure disgust for Mr. Hyde, and the evil where Mr. Hyde accomplishes such a horrifiying task. It shows the two different sides of humanity, one good and one bad.

The philosophy of good & evil in humanity

After reading the article "The philosophy of good and evil in humanity" i have learned about the two opposing sides, good and evil. The article has explained to me that throughout history people have always wondered why their were two sides and where evil originated from. Philosophers think that evil should remain in society otherwise their will be no good. Their has to be two sides to balance things out. The main focus of the article is whether evil should remain in the world or should be banished. I personally believe that evil should not remain so the world would be a much happier place to live in. Their would be no crime, abuse, or backstabbing in this world. People would happily live their lives, go home to their family every night, and watch a movie. The world would be much easier to handle. Yes, good has to come in to stop evil, but without evil there would be no problems in the first place. The article has made me come up to many conclusions.
